Each year from 1999 through 2008, the U.S. Mint will produce five different State Quarters. A new Quarter will be released every 10 weeks. The order of release is based upon that state’s original entry into the Union. Each Quarter Dollar will have an unique reverse design emblematic of that particular state. The State Quarter program is one of the most ambitious endeavors in the history of United States coinage.
Sold in this collection are all the quarters that have been released so far (Delaware through Hawaii), for a total of 50 Brilliant Uncirculated quarters. The coins are enclosed in clear, lucite capsules for protection plus additional capsules for future coins. Each collection also comes in a hand-polished, solid poplar wood showcase that features a plush, deep red platform insert and a clear plexiglas top viewing shield with a sliding clasp closure. Other Statehood Quarter Collections are sold with 24k gold overlay quarters and colorized quarters. The gold overlay quarters are processed using a fine 24k gold bonding over Brilliant Uncirculated coins. The colorized quarter version features a unique colorized quarter!
