Issued to commemorate the Bicentennial of the United States Capital. Co-designed by William C. Cousins and Mint Engraver John Mercanti. Original United States Government issued silver dollars.

The obverse features an architectural rendering of the United States Capital Dome. The reverse features the eagle and shield design based on the center of the stained glass window from the Senate and House grand staircase.

Composition: 90% Silver, 10% Copper Alloy
