Issued to commemorate the bicentennial of The Congress. Designed by muralist William Woodward. Original United States Government issued silver dollars. The obverse of the dollar features the State of Freedom which sits atop the Capital Dome. The reverse shows the Mace of The House of Representatives which resides in The House Chamber whenever the house is in session.
