The Roosevelt Dime, still in production today, began minting in 1946. Designed by John R. Sinnock, the obverse of this coin features the 32nd U.S. President, Franklin D. Roosevelt. John Sinnock initials “JS” can be found below the tip of Roosevelt’s bust. The reverse of the design contains a torch, oak branch and olive branch covering the motto “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of Many, One) surrounded by the words “United States of America” above, and “One Dime” below.
