In 1999 the U.S Mint began an ambitious program to create a new quarter for each of the 50 U.S. states. Since 1999, each year the U.S. Mint produces 5 new state quarters, with the program completing in 2008. Each quarter’s reverse design is unique and features the states history, traditions and symbols. State quarters are released in the order states were admitted into the Union.
State quarters are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition (BU), 24-Karat Gold Overlay (24K), or in a Colorized version (Colorized).
