During World War II, the Treasury Department issued special emergency currency to be used by the troops involved in the Invasion of North Africa, also known as "Operation Torch." These silver certificates had yellow treasury seals indicating their unique purpose. This was done to protect the money supply in the event the enemy confiscated this currency, it would be declared worthless.
This bill is sold in a deluxe currency protective sleeve.
