Barber Coin Series Album Collection
This set features Barber Silver Dimes, Quarters, and Half Dollars first issued over 100 years ago. In 1892, an open competition for the new design was made at the Chicago Columbian Exposition, which was celebrating the 400th Anniversary of Christopher Columbus Discover of America. The call announced to all engravers and/or sculptors was a failure. Finally, the redesign was made by Charles E. Barber, Chief Engraver at the U.S. Mint.
