Designed by Charles E. Barber in 1883, the Liberty Nickel features a portrait of Liberty’s head on the obverse. The reverse shows a roman numeral V within a wreath. In earlier years, some of these cents were gold-plated and sold off as $5.00 coins. The word "Cents" was then added to the reverse along with the roman numeral V to discourage criminal activities. The same design went unchanged until it was replaced by the Indian Head Nickel in 1913.
Collection sold with thirty-one coins. Condition is Good to Very Good. Mounted in its own display album.
