The Washington Quarter started minting in 1932 and was designed by John Flanagan. It features “The Father of our Country” and first U.S. President, General George Washington. The reverse depicts the American Eagle, a symbol of power and freedom. Set comprises a total of eight quarters, one for each decade starting from 1932 and ending in 1980. Washington Quarters, minted from 1932 to 1964, were made from 90% silver. From the year 1965 to current date, they were minted in a copper-nickel alloy. As an additional bonus, you will receive two bronze medallions featuring the Great Seal and the Liberty Bell.
Each display is presented in a 10" x 12" walnut-finished, solid wood frame. Coins are held in clear lucite capsules.
